In the Ruhr region, people say “oder wat” after almost every sentence. And since the people behind “Oder Wat” are from the Ruhr region, that’s what the snack bar is called. Makes sense. By the way, in the Ruhr region, a snack bar isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite to eat - it’s also a neighbourhood hangout, a therapy center, and a place of healing.
