Bullingerplatz

The star-shaped street layout – leading to Bullingerplatz – is based on the ideal city layout of the Renaissance and is unique in Zurich. The traffic calming around the large fountain in the middle of the square has created a beautiful and relaxed place. In spring and summer, Bullingerplatz is a popular meeting place for residents of the neighborhood. With the Cafe du Boheur and the fountain, the square offers plenty of seating and invites people to linger. As part of an «art in architecture» project, the dials of the Bullinger church clock were decorated with an iridescent surface by artist Olga Titus. Depending on the position of the sun and the viewing angle, the dial appears in different colors and luminosities.
